BEFORE APPLICATION

This is the place where you will learn the rules of the game.

First of all, this page is designed for giving information. I am not responsible for anything that you did, like choosing a university where you won't like to study etc.  So be careful.

1

Begin your research at least 18 months before you begin to study in the university.  You will have plenty of time to search and decide on the universities that you will apply.

2

RULE 2:  You HAVE to take the SAT I test, if you want to be accepted easily.  There are 7 sections in the test (English and Math) Math is easy and many students can score more than 600 out of 800 which is the limit that top schools require; however Verbal (English) is very hard and you have to study for it.  There are some unusual words asked in this test, so you have to memorize them.  Or you may buy some books to study.  Collegeboard's SAT book is a fine book.

You MUST take the TOEFL. Test.  Toefl stands for Test Of English as a Foreign Language.  In 1998, TOEFL became a computer based test, and the scoring system had changed.  In the old system if you scored 500 out of 677, many universities would accept you, if you scored 550 98% of the universities would accept you.
